How and what do preschoolers play.

The preschool child continues to perfect activities, which she mastered in the first years of her life. He also constantly expands his knowledge about the world. Unable to concentrate attention on one thing for a long time, but he wants to know as much as possible about things and matters, that interested them at the time. Hence the endless questions.

Many educators call the preschool age the age of play. During this period of life, play is the most important activity undertaken by a child, it also takes very rich and interesting forms. Allows you to further improve your efficiency, contributes to expanding knowledge about the surrounding world, it allows you to express your emotional attitude to many things and situations.

Pedagogues divide children's games appropriate for this period of life into four basic groups: themed, movement, construction and didactic. This is the division most often used in our pedagogy, but not the only one. Some also distinguish research and creative games.

Taking up different types of games, practicing a variety of activities is conducive to the harmonious development of the child. At this age, thematic games come to the fore, role play, also known as play games, illusory, fictitious, symbolic, dramatized, for in fact they constitute a kind of improvised performance, samorodnego teatru. They begin to appear at the turn of the second and third years of life, constantly improved and enriched with new forms and topics, they reign until the school period. However, they are still present among students of younger classes, but they no longer occupy the undivided first place, as in preschool. In them, the child recreates various situations observed among adults, and assumes their roles.

A small child imitates the actions of other people. Most often, they do not form a logical sequence and only after they are completed, the little boy finds out, that he behaved like adults. He can't plan his fun, to, what he does, is completely random, spontaneous.

A preschool child starts playing with a certain plan. The older it is, the more accurately he can predict and design its course. Earliest and most frequent play "house". The child assumes the role of the parent, a lalki, teddy bears and other toys are children. Little later, as you gain new experiences, topics expand, they become more varied, The fun in the shop begins, into a doctor, in kindergarten, for a visit, traveling and much more. The choice of topics is simply unlimited. The child recreates the social roles performed by adults in his games. Once is a mother, once a father, girl, it's a bus driver again, conductor on the train, doctor or nurse, dentist, postman, kindergarten teacher. Playing these different characters, playing their roles helps him understand better, what are their social tasks. The child faithfully recreates all observed situations. He imitates his parents, neighbors, friends, saleswoman in the store, where he goes shopping with his mother, doctor from the health center. So, the richer his experiences are, the more diverse insights he can collect, the more we provide him with information about the world around him, the more interesting his games will become.
