Ash

Ash.

Northern hard ash is hard, heavy and dense. The density translates into a bright sound and long decay. The color is cream. The pores in the wood are open, so it takes a lot of effort, to finish this wood.

Swamp ash is relatively light, which makes it easier to distinguish it from hard ash. The jars are open, cream color. Transparent finishes perfectly match it. Sonically, it is balanced with a slight predominance of highs.
